THE TULLY STORY
The Tully story began humbly in 1924, when two enterprising truck drivers—Ed Tully and Pete DiNapoli—decided to invest in a single truck and start a business of their own. That simple act of partnership and determination laid the foundation for what would become one of the most respected privately held construction organizations in the country. Within just 15 years, Tully & DeNapoli had grown into a fleet of over 100 trucks, a remarkable feat that reflected both their ambition and their reputation for delivering dependable work.

As New York City and the surrounding region developed through the 20th century, so did Tully’s capabilities. The company evolved from hauling materials to performing full-scale infrastructure construction, taking on larger and more complex projects with each passing decade. The business eventually became known as the Tully Group, a name that now encompasses many companies operating across multiple sectors of the construction industry.

While its operations and acquisitions have allowed the Tully Group to grow nationally and it remains rooted in the values of its founders: hard work, trust, and long-term relationships. That same spirit of determination and grit continues to define the company culture today. Thalle Construction Company, a key part of the Tully Group family, reflects these values in every project it delivers—bringing deep technical expertise, innovation, and an unwavering focus on quality and safety.

Now more than 100 years since its founding, Tully Group continues to build on its proud legacy while embracing the future. With a sharp focus on excellence and a reputation earned over generations, the company stands as a testament to what’s possible when vision is matched by action, and when roots run deep.
