UTILITIES, PUMPED STORAGE & PIPELEINES
WATER & ENERGY UTILITY INFRASTRUCTURE BUILT FOR RELIABILITY
Thalle Construction Company delivers the large-scale utility infrastructure that keeps water, energy, and industry moving. From high-capacity pumped storage systems and large above-ground storage tanks to miles of large-diameter transmission pipelines, we build the backbone of critical resource distribution networks nationwide. These projects require precision planning, complex sequencing, and the ability to perform safely in challenging environments—qualities that define every Thalle project. With deep experience in excavation, structural concrete, pipeline installation, and mechanical integration, we bring the specialized capabilities needed to execute high-risk, high-impact utility work on aggressive timelines.
Our teams take a holistic approach to system reliability and performance, combining technical expertise with transparent project management and rigorous QA/QC oversight. We partner with utilities, municipalities, and federal agencies to construct resilient infrastructure that increases capacity, reinforces energy and water security, and supports long-term operational efficiency. Whether installing large-diameter conveyance lines, constructing massive pumped storage reservoirs, or delivering turnkey tank and pipeline systems, Thalle provides durable, cost-effective solutions that protect essential resources and strengthen community infrastructure for generations to come.

CASE STUDY
NORTHSIDE III, PHASE II 54" WATER MAIN
Thalle Construction Company is delivering a critical component of North Fort Worth’s long-term water infrastructure through the 24-409 Northside III, Phase II project. Awarded at $32.3 million, the project includes installing 18,000 linear feet of 54-inch steel water main between Boat Club Road and Bonds Ranch Road—an essential link in a three-phase expansion program designed to support the rapidly growing Eagle Mountain region. This large-diameter pipeline will strengthen system reliability and ensure that new neighborhoods, schools, and commercial developments have the water capacity needed for decades ahead.
To construct this backbone of future growth, Thalle is performing more than three miles of deep utility work supported by nine butterfly valve vaults, 1,330 linear feet of 78-inch tunnels, and multiple reinforced concrete headwalls and culverts. The project also integrates major roadway components, including traffic control, 5,000 feet of jersey barriers, temporary roadways, illumination improvements, and paving for the new northbound lane of Fleming Ranch Road. Together, these elements improve both water service and transportation connectivity for nearby communities and a newly built high school.
The work presents significant engineering challenges, including sections where new residential streets and curb lines sit just six feet from Thalle’s 25-foot-deep trench. The team is implementing specialized shoring systems and careful sequencing to protect adjacent infrastructure while maintaining safe operations in a high-traffic environment. Early in the project, Thalle also collaborated with the City of Fort Worth to adjust the Notice to Proceed date, creating valuable time for procurement, planning, and submittals—an approach that improved efficiency without affecting the project’s ultimate schedule.
