Chief Civil Construction Estimator:
Must be Resourceful and Likes to be Challenged

Description:
Thalle Construction is looking for an experienced Chief Estimator. The individual must be resourceful and enjoy estimating challenging projects. The position is ideal for someone who wants oversee all estimating functions for a 250 employee civil construction/infrastructure firm. Thalle performs projects across the East Cost of the US and plans to expand internationally.

Ideal Candidate:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 10 years experience in estimating.
Experience in different markets.
Knowledge of heavy civil construction. (ie earthwork, concrete, dams, landfills, utilities)
Highly Organized with strong oral and written communication skills
Pragmatic & exhibits exceptional professional judgment
Ability to multi task and prioritize without significant direct supervision
Strong computer skills and IT knowledge
Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid software preferred.
References Required

Responsibilities:

Management and development of the estimating team
Development of comprehensive estimating procedures
Prepare and review estimates
Participate in internal project progress/status meetings
Develop marketing strategies.
Selection of projects to bid.
Track and improve estimating accuracy and efficiency
Interface and build relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, owners and engineers
