From WNEP News The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and state officials celebrated the new improvements and a new facility at the Prompton Dam in Wayne County Wednesday. The project is successfully completed by Thalle Construction Co., Inc. The completed project will better protect several communities including Honesdale and Hawley from flooding.

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is notified by City of Lynchburg, Virginia to commence work for James River Interceptor Division 3A Project. Thalle was awarded the project on June 4, 2012 for $5,740,000. Construction will begin on Aug 13, 2012 to complete the work within 480 consecutive calendar days.

PHILADELPHIA (Aug. 2, 2012): The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 :00 a.m. Aug. 22 at Prompton Dam. The ceremony recognizes the completion of a two- phase construction project which included modifying the dam spillway, building an operations center and maintenance garage and constructing a new access road and spillway bridge to the dam.

On May 2, 2012 Thalle Construction Co., Inc. has kicked off its New Ragged Mountain Dam Project located in Charlottesville, VA. The project was bid in December 2011 and Thalle was apparent low bidder for $21,527,750.50. Thalle received the Notice of Award (NOA) on March 20, 2012 followed by the Notice of Proceed (NTP) on April 23, 2012.

After completing the evaluation process, Thalle was presented with the ConstructSecure Gold Award in 6 six different construction categories: Heavy Civil; Highway, Street & Bridge; Poured Concrete Structure; Site Preparation; Utility System; and Water, Sewer, & Related Structures.

Willis C. Briggs, Sr. was a truck driver with Thalle, and a widely admired and respected member of our team. His long battle with cancer came to an end on Sunday, July the 31st at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
